Do you desire to know how God is lovingly present in your life in the midst of your personal struggle, heartache and pain?
As a Spiritual Director, Joan is able to help you open to God’s presence and purpose for you by exploring and reflecting on your personal stories, sacred experiences, prayer practices and faith tradition. A Spiritual Direction relationship is a confidential spiritual conversation grounded in prayer and faith with the intention of discerning God’s loving and healing presence in your life. The purpose of spiritual direction is to support the directee as he or she opens his or her mind and heart as it relates to his or her personal, spiritual or social experiences such as prayer, illness, loss, marriage, parenting, divorce, sacraments, death or change in life circumstances. As you awaken to the movement of God in your life, you will begin to experience a sense of peace and joy that persists regardless of your life’s circumstances.
As Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together
in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
—Matthew 18:20
Spiritual Direction helps people open to God’s Presence by exploring and reflecting on personal stories, sacred experiences, prayer practices, guided meditations, lives of saints, symbols, images, scripture, faith, beliefs and religious traditions so as to know more fully God’s love.
A Spiritual Direction session is generally one hour in length. The number and frequency of the sessions are by the request of the directee. It is the directee’s decision how he or she will interpret, act or respond to any insights gained during a spiritual direction session. Spiritual Direction is available by appointment in Joan’s office in person or via phone, Skype, or e-mail.
Contact Joan to schedule an appointment and determine the best means of communication.
Spiritual direction is not psychotherapy, counseling, or financial planning.
